Accounts Receivable Specialist - Medical Claims - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures accurate, compliant, timely billing and appropriate reimbursement for multispecialty medical professional services from various insurance payers and patients.

In Short

• Prepare and re-submit clean claims to various insurance companies.
• Analyze and correct first pass rejected claims.
• Research and perform billing claim status follow up activities.
• Review and process all claim appeals.
• Recommend customer account adjustments and/or write-offs.
• Report claims problems and discrepancies to management.
• Generate and submit monthly patient balance due statements.
• Review patient accounts and collect overdue payments.
• Answer patient questions about billing and payments.
• Investigate and direct patient inquiries or complaints.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Medical Insurance Claims billing preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience with a 10-Key by touch.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to define problems and identify trends.
• Good judgment and escalation of issues.
