Authorization & Eligibility Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Authorization & Eligibility Coordinator ensures quality and timely benefit/eligibility verifications along with the management of client enrollment and credentialing for multi-specialty medical professional services with various insurance payers via our electronic clearinghouse or insurance web portals.

In Short

• Responsible for verification and eligibility of patient health insurance benefits.
• Handles authorization submission based on health insurance requirements.
• Documents all pertinent insurance eligibility information.
• Communicates with clients regarding authorization or eligibility issues.
• Assists in creating processes and workflows for benefit and authorization teams.
• Monitors authorization exceptions for timely claim billing.
• Ensures accurate documentation for claims processing.
• Reviews and evaluates processes for future teams.
• Assists external departmental personnel as needed.
• Requires knowledge of multiple medical specialties and billing rules.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Requires consistent judgment using software and industry expertise.
• Ability to teach end users in optimal solution use.
• Understanding of accounting principles and software engineering processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze client needs and exercise discretion.
• Strong customer service focus and commitment.
• Ability to work remotely with strong video conferencing etiquette.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships within the team.
