Overview

The HR Generalist is a highly detail-oriented, compliance-focused professional responsible for supporting both Talent Acquisition and core Human Resources operations in a multi-state environment.

• Support full-cycle recruiting operations with a focus on multi-state compliance.
• Ensure job postings meet federal, state, and local requirements.
• Coordinate background checks, reference verification, and drug screening.
• Administer employee lifecycle changes across multiple states.
• Maintain accurate personnel records in accordance with laws.
• Support compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulations.
• Assist with I-9 audits and HR compliance audits.
• Maintain high standards of HRIS data accuracy.
• Assist with drafting and maintaining HR policies.
• Track completion of required compliance training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting multi-state employee populations.
• Strong knowledge of federal employment laws and state-specific variations.
• Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding in multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
• Proven skills in verbal and written communications.
• Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
