Infrastructure Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer who will join our team in managing all aspects of our infrastructure for both federal government and private sector clients. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing secure AWS environments, implementing AWS best practices, and automating nearly everything we do. Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in infrastructure automation, deep understanding of various flavors of linux, and excellent communication skills.

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Implement serverless architectures and use configuration management tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and develop automation scripts.
• Containerize applications and manage them on AWS ECS.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Enforce security best practices and conduct compliance checks.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve processes.
• Manage data flows and ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Deep understanding of AWS services and security practices.
• Proficiency in using IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of federal compliance standards.
• Experience with monitoring tools like NewRelic.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain high availability.
