Infrastructure Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer who will join our team in managing all aspects of our infrastructure for both federal government and private sector clients. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing secure AWS environments, implementing AWS best practices, and automating nearly everything we do. Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in infrastructure automation, deep understanding of various flavors of linux, and excellent communication skills.

In Short

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Implement serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain robust, secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash).
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage them on AWS ECS.
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with developers and IT operations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Mentor team members and share best practices.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• 4–5+ years of hands-on Systems/DevOps experience with AWS.
• AWS Professional-level Certification or equivalent expertise.
• Expertise with CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
• Experience with Docker and AWS ECS.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux.
• Strong skills in Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Competencies with compliance requirements.
• Networking and security knowledge.
