Senior AI and Automation Engineer - Remote

Overview

Forgent Power Solutions is building intelligent automation across its core business processes: quoting, finance, engineering, and more. We’re hiring a Senior AI & Automation Engineer to take messy, manual business workflows and turn them into working digital processes that are faster, more accurate, and actually used by the people doing the work. You’ll use workflow automation, AI agents, and human review touchpoints to get there. This is a hands-on engineering role.

In Short

• Assess and map business processes end-to-end.
• Design, build, and deploy automation using workflow automation tools.
• Architect execution layers for each process.
• Integrate with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Build human-in-the-loop review systems.
• Own delivery through a structured sprint methodology.
• Monitor live automations and analyze exception patterns.
• Work directly with business process owners and subject matter experts.
• Document processes for maintainability.
• 5–8 years in automation, process engineering, or related roles.

Requirements

• Experience mapping and automating processes.
• Working experience with AI agents and LLM-powered workflows.
• Strong integration skills and ability to clean data.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure AI Foundry.
• Fluency in Python, SQL, or scripting.
• Experience working with implementation partners.
