Overview

The VP/Director, Underwriting, Real Estate Finance is responsible for underwriting and executing new loan opportunities in a high-volume lending environment, ensuring compliance with credit policies and managing the loan closing process.

• Underwrite and execute new loan opportunities.
• Evaluate financing requests and determine credit quality.
• Conduct diligence and underwriting on new loan opportunities.

• Collaborate with Portfolio Management on asset management issues.
• Supervise and manage assigned employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in underwriting and managing credit risk.
• Highly motivated and able to thrive in a small-team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Argus, CoStar, and REIS.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
