National Human Resources Generalist - Remote

Overview

The National Human Resources Generalist will support the daily operations of the national and state Human Resources department in various administrative tasks including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.

In Short

• Oversee the recruitment process and develop talent pipelines.
• Manage job postings, interviews, and background checks.
• Lead new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
• Handle employment-related inquiries and maintain HR records.
• Assist with payroll functions and auditing timesheets.
• Plan and execute special HR events.
• Respond to HR shared inbox inquiries and employment verification requests.
• Collaborate with other departments and promote team culture.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• At least 2 years of HR recruiting and onboarding experience.
• Knowledge of HR laws and policies.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS.
• Familiarity with G-Suite applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Prior payroll and benefits experience preferred.
• Experience in a non-profit or advocacy organization preferred.
• Labor relations experience in a union environment preferred.
