Revenue Recognition Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Revenue Recognition Accountant will work closely across multiple teams within the Company to address revenue accounting matters in the application of U.S. GAAP, and maintenance of revenue accounting policies. This role will own the end-to-end revenue accounting for Firstup and conduct research on complex revenue arrangements.

In Short

• Prepare and analyze revenue accounting entries for month-end close.
• Own the ASC 606 revenue recognition in NetSuite (ARM module) monthly.
• Perform detailed reviews of Master Agreements and Contracts.
• Ensure accurate application of GAAP to complex revenue transactions.
• Review Order Perfection for data accuracy and revenue recognition impact in Salesforce.
• Perform & maintain SSP analysis on an annual basis.
• Support annual audit activities of external auditors.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of revenue recognition processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 1-3 years of direct experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP Accounting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Superb attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and Word / Google Docs.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Excited to build out systems and processes.
