Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Revenue Accountant is a highly critical and visible role within the Corporate Accounting team at Leap Event Technology. Reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Controller, you will be responsible for revenue recognition and reporting across all subsidiaries of Leap Event Technology. In Short

• Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Review and analyze client agreements to determine revenue recognition treatment.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure alignment between contractual terms and revenue recognition principles.
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules for all client contracts.
• Prepare revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
• Stay updated on changes/updates to GAAP revenue recognition rules.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual revenue budget and monthly revenue forecasts.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation related to revenue.
• Conduct ad hoc analytics and reporting as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preferred.
• Highly organized self-starter preferred.
