Overview

The Dual Certified Primary Care/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a licensed Nurse Practitioner certified in Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, who leads the behavioral health aspects of virtual care for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) served by firsthand.

• Lead virtual behavioral health assessments for individuals with SMI.
• Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions.
• Perform virtual SOAR disability assessments.
• Provide exemplary customer service and maintain a high NPS score.
• Reduce avoidable Psychiatric ER visits through timely evaluations.
• Document patients’ medical and psychological histories.
• Educate patients and family members about mental health and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Ensure continuity of care with community providers.
• Work in a remote, technology-driven environment.

Requirements

• Dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• 2+ years clinical care experience in the relevant fields.
• 1+ years telehealth experience.
• Strong background in psychiatric disorders and treatments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
