An Open Source Engineer role focused on developing and maintaining Firecrawl’s open-source ecosystem, engaging with the community, and shaping developer interactions.

In Short

• Own and expand Firecrawl’s open-source SDKs, libraries, and integrations.
• Architect and maintain high-quality, developer-friendly APIs and tooling.
• Engage with contributors through GitHub issues, PRs, and discussions.
• Collaborate directly with founders to shape open-source roadmap and strategy.
• Run experiments for new integrations, frameworks, and developer workflows.
• Maintain project health: documentation, CI/CD, release management.
• Champion best practices for developer experience, clarity, and ease of adoption.

Requirements

• Experienced software engineer with strong open-source contributions or leadership.
• Comfortable building SDKs, APIs, and libraries with a developer-first mindset.
• Strong communicator who can write clean docs and guide external contributors.
• Skilled at balancing velocity with quality in public projects.
• Passionate about developer communities, engagement, and adoption.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
