Quality Engineer (Platform) - Remote

Overview

FileCloud is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer (Platform) to join our team in Brazil. This role will involve creating test cases, preparing test data, maintaining quality in sprints, ensuring product is defect free and delivering a positive user experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think outside of the box and come up with creative ways to test. This role is remote and will require working remotely with other team members.

In Short

• Collaborate with the QE Practice Lead to create comprehensive test plans.
• Develop detailed test cases based on requirements and user stories.
• Work with automation testing frameworks.
• Execute test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
• Perform Sprint testing and stress testing of features.
• Document defects found during testing.
• Manage test data for testing purposes.
• Test reporting and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Practical experience with automation testing methodology and frameworks.
• Experience using test and defect management tools (i.e. Jira / TestRail).
• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Set up and maintain test labs with multiple testing environments.
• Reproduce reported customer problems for troubleshooting.
• Understanding of distributed systems and architectural concepts.
• Knowledge of testing on Linux and Windows OS.
• Good understanding of API’s and API testing methods.
• Ability to think outside the box to identify edge cases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
