Product Data Science Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Product Data Science role requires an engineer at heart who is able to lead and guide Data Science/Machine Learning teams to deliver Feedzai financial crime fighting products. The role requires deep data science knowledge, allowing the teams to have strong support at a strategic level. Besides technical leadership, you will hire top-class data scientists/machine learning engineers, as well as plan the execution of product development driven by the product management team. You need to be able to lead by example with a positive attitude bringing out the best of people. This role is key to achieving success at Feedzai making sure we always give clients the features they need, in the perfect timing and with the desired quality.

In Short

• Understanding the data Feedzai generates and processes.
• Processing data using the Python scientific stack (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, ...).
• Work with very large data sets by leveraging distributed computing, e.g. with PySpark.
• Contributing to in-house Python tools used by other Feedzaians as well as customers, as part of our ML Ops toolset.
• Communicating your findings to Product Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Work together with a functionally diverse team of product managers, data scientists, software engineers, UX, etc.
• Work with other parts of the organization (Customer Success, Research, etc) to support innovation from inception to adoption.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Proficient in Machine Learning (training and testing, avoiding overfit, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python and optionally Java.
• Comfortable around the terminal and shell-scripts.
• Knowledge of statistics or data visualization.
• Knowledge of tree based algorithms (Random Forests, XGBoost, LightGBM).
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop and related is a plus.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning algorithms is a plus.
• Ability to communicate your findings in a clear way.
