Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will provide support in full cycle accounting, assisting with month-end close, financial analysis, and reporting, while working closely with senior financial leaders.

In Short

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Reconcile and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statements.
• Maintain a system of accounting records and internal controls.
• Assist with year-end tax returns.
• Provide post-close accounting support on M&A activities.
• Guide the Accounting Assistant with technical accounting interpretations.
• Participate in project work as assigned by management.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Intermediate Excel skills needed.

Requirements

• University degree in Business/Accounting, CPA or equivalent.
• Experience with corporate accounting and financial management.
• Ability to analyze data and present recommendations.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft NAV is an asset.
