Overview

The STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Technical Director leads and directs technical focus areas across the Activity to enhance global health security in priority countries.

In Short

• Lead and direct technical frameworks and approaches for global health security.
• Align technical activities with USG global health security priorities.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with Country Project Director and technical leads.
• Provide direction for country-specific workplans and budgets.
• Assess subcontractor performance and direct necessary adjustments.
• Represent STRIDES at global health security events.
• Support professional development of direct reports.
• Manage compliance with government regulations and quality standards.
• Respond to client requests regarding technical matters.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Health or related field.
• 10 years of relevant technical/project management experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience in non-governmental organizations (NGO) preferred.
• Prior experience with USG-funded contracts strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global health security concepts.
• Proven ability to meet budgets and performance requirements.
