Associate Director, Website Development - Remote

Overview

The Associate Director provides technical leadership, solutions architecture, senior web development skills and strategic guidance to build, extend, and sustain Facing History’s digital infrastructure.

In Short

• Oversee the Dev Ops and technical architecture for Facing History.
• Supervise and provide direction for an internal developer.
• Collaborate with project managers to prioritize development tasks.
• Scope and write clear technical requirements documents.
• Estimate tickets and manage engineering capacity.
• Work on front-end and back-end development tickets.
• Maintain and monitor SSO integrations and platform enhancements.
• Oversee testing, QA, and release management.
• Troubleshoot complex website issues.
• Create and maintain documentation for technical solutions.

Requirements

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience as a technology lead, with 3+ years in Drupal.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong ownership of projects end-to-end.
• In-depth knowledge of web development tools (CSS, HTML).
• Experience with Agile methods preferred.
• Understanding of web technology trends in the Drupal space.
