Staff Accountant - Puerto Rico & Dominican Republic - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing full-service accounting for eXp Puerto Rico, with financial oversight and support for eXp Dominican Republic, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

In Short

• Manage general ledger processes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with Puerto Rican tax regulations.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
• Perform reconciliations and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Collaborate with finance and transaction teams.
• Monitor compliance with tax regulations in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
• Assist with external and internal audit processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and financial automation.
• Maintain internal controls and adherence to financial policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial operations or accounting.
• Solid experience in general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Puerto Rican tax reporting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
