Data Engineer in Azure Cloud - Remote

Overview

In EX Squared, we are looking for a Data Engineer specialized in Azure to join our team to build scalable, efficient data solutions aligned with business objectives. This role will be key in designing and developing robust pipelines, modern data models, and high-impact analytical products under advanced architectures like Lakehouse and Data Mesh.

In Short

• Create data products that drive business decision-making.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipeline solutions (ETL) both batch and real-time.
• Develop code for ingesting and updating large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Apply best practices of Azure DevOps for continuous deployments via Pull Requests.
• Design scalable data models like Data Vault, as well as optimized models for consumption like Star and Snowflake.
• Build solutions under Lakehouse architecture with a focus on Data Mesh.
• Collaborate with business areas to understand needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Participate in planning and execution of data engineering projects, ensuring compliance with objectives and deadlines.
• Work alongside data scientists to provide necessary inputs for AI and ML models.

Requirements

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (desirable).
• Databricks Certified: Data Engineer Associate certification (desirable).
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL language.
• Solid understanding of NoSQL databases.
• Extensive experience with ETL tools and processes in Azure environments.
• Knowledge in batch processing, streaming, and API consumption.
• Intermediate programming level in Python and advanced in PySpark.
• Advanced modeling with Data Vault for Lakehouse architectures.
• Modeling with Star and Snowflake in Data Warehouse architectures.
• Conceptual knowledge in data governance, security, and quality.
