Data Engineer - Azure Cloud - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and open-minded Data Engineer - Azure Cloud for our client in the Greater Zurich area.

In Short

• Design & development of the Data Lakehouse as a self-service platform
• Support and enablement of data domains to integrate into the platform
• Consulting & support for data engineers on Azure technologies like Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Building & automating the system environment in Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep)
• Optimization of data pipelines with Python & PySpark for high-performance data processing
• Ensuring scalability, performance, and security of the platform

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer with in-depth knowledge of data lakes and data warehouses
• Proficient in developing and optimizing data pipelines with Python and PySpark and comprehensive knowledge of Azure Data Factory
• Experience in automating cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) and knowledge of Data Mesh approaches
• Deep expertise in Databricks and processing large datasets
• Fluent in German
