Vice President, Legal - Remote

Overview

As Vice President, Legal, you will lead evermore’s legal and compliance function and serve as a senior strategic partner to the executive team, owning legal strategy across various matters and supporting the business as it scales.

In Short

• Lead the legal and compliance function end to end as the senior lawyer for the company.
• Serve as the senior legal voice to the CEO, COO, co-founders, executive team, and Board.
• Supervise and develop a team of four legal professionals.
• Lead corporate governance for the company.
• Manage the company’s relationships with outside counsel firms.
• Own the regulatory and compliance posture of the business.
• Supervise internal and external audits.
• Lead legal workstreams for expansion into new markets.
• Own the company’s IP portfolio.
• Drive legal operations maturity.

Requirements

• A JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 11 to 20 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience leading a legal function or running a substantial part of one.
• Deep commercial contracting background.
• Working knowledge of healthcare and financial services regulation.
• Strong judgment and ability to operate independently.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
