• Ongoing analysis and monitoring of rules engine and workbench performance
• Review of evidence and synthesization of underwriting data
• Work with Head of Underwriting Strategies to assess business risk
• Create recommendations for automated underwriting decisions
• Act as owner and contributor to multiple projects
• Solidify protocols for rule and system enhancements
• Maintain documentation for underwriting criteria and workflows
• Prioritize system decisions based on business needs
• Serve as underwriting process expert and liaison
• Ensure end-user proficiency with new systems

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of life new business underwriting experience
• Experience with underwriting rules engines
• Comfortable in an agile environment using JIRA
• Understanding of data and models in underwriting
• Ability to communicate results among multiple parties
• Record of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions
• Desire to be a team player in a dynamic environment
• Obsession with the customer and challenging the status quo
