Elder Law Paralegal - Remote

Overview

Equivity is seeking a skilled paralegal with a minimum of three years of experience supporting attorneys in elder law matters, including Medicaid planning, long-term care, guardianship, probate, and estate planning. As part of our team, you’ll deliver high-level virtual support to attorneys nationwide while benefiting from the flexibility and autonomy of remote work in a collaborative, professional environment.

In Short

• Draft and prepare elder law documents, including powers of attorney and trusts.
• Assist with Medicaid planning and application processes.
• Prepare and file guardianship petitions and court documents.
• Support attorneys with probate matters and compliance with court deadlines.
• Conduct legal research related to elder law and Medicaid regulations.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines.
• Coordinate with agencies and providers for necessary records.
• Communicate professionally with elderly clients and families.
• Track case deadlines and support attorneys with management tasks.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in elder law.
• Experience with elder law or estate planning software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Quiet home office setup for client calls.
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week.
