Overview

The Virga Law Firm, P.A. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team, supporting attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.

In Short

• Manage the family law process including case intake and trial preparation.
• Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents.
• Handle collection and organization of discovery materials.
• Maintain case files and manage deadlines.
• Communicate with clients to clarify necessary documents.
• Draft and file family law pleadings and motions.
• Prepare financial affidavits and support calculations.
• Coordinate court appearances and mediations.
• Execute case strategies for non-participating parties.
• Ensure adherence to procedural requirements for default judgments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of family law experience.
• Expertise in default proceedings and case management.
• Proficiency in financial discovery and child support guidelines.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple cases.
• Knowledge of Florida Family Law.
• Proficiency with legal practice management software.
