Peer Mentor - Eating Disorder Recovery - Remote

Overview

The Peer Mentor I is responsible for working alongside a multidisciplinary care team to help people recover from an eating disorder. They provide rapport building, skill building, motivational interviewing, and practical support to patients.

In Short

• Maintain an up-to-date calendar for patient sessions.
• Meet with patients virtually, tailoring sessions to their needs.
• Co-facilitate support groups for patients and their supporters.
• Practice responsible self-disclosure based on lived experience.
• Complete thorough documentation according to Equip standards.
• Participate in internal meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Lived experience with eating disorder recovery.
• 2+ years of experience in a care setting.
• Passion for helping patients and families.
• Ability to connect with diverse patients.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a remote environment.
• Ability to work 2 evenings per week until 8pm local time.
