Peer Mentor - Remote

Overview

Join our volunteer team of Peer Mentors in our mission of creating a more inclusive, supportive, and engaging space for everyone to get help, stay motivated, form meaningful connections, and ultimately transform their lives!

In Short

• Introduce yourself in the community as someone available for students to connect with to talk about their Springboard experience.
• Help to motivate and unblock fellow learners by answering questions and giving feedback on student projects in Slack.
• Make posts to help spark discussion in the community.
• Share helpful resources and best practices and encourage students in the online community.
• Organize groups of students with similar interests (study groups, community events, topic discussions, special interest/identity groups).
• Create and execute Slack engagement activities.
• Own engagement in specific channels on a rotating basis.
• Optional: participate in projects to improve the community experience.

Requirements

• Minimum dedication of 2-3 hours per week.
• Minimum commitment of 3 months of volunteering.
