Overview

The Billing Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Charge Entry team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant charge submission in line with payer guidelines and internal policies.

• Supervise daily operations of the Charge Entry team.
• Serve as the primary contact for charge entry workflow questions.
• Collaborate with the Billing Manager to monitor key performance metrics.
• Ensure proper training and development for Charge Entry Specialists.
• Monitor daily charge workflows for accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of the full Revenue Cycle Management process.
• Analyze insurance claim denials and develop strategies.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects to enhance billing efficiency.
• Perform charge entry duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of billing experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a healthcare billing environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and billing requirements.
• Understanding of payer guidelines and insurance claims workflows.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to support the team during absences or high volumes.
