Commercial Appraisal Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Commercial Appraisal Specialist will act as the subject matter expertise as a Certified General Appraiser in support of commercial real estate appraisal and evaluation workflow within the bank.

In Short

• Act as a resource to Relationship Managers and Loan Coordinators for appraisal best practices.
• Serve as job manager for appraisals including vendor selection and tracking.
• Ensure completion of appraisal reviews to meet client loan closing deadlines.
• Initiate new appraisal bids and manage all assigned jobs.
• Communicate daily with team regarding appraisal order statuses.
• Perform and certify appraisal reviews competently.
• Mediate appraisal conflicts according to Reconsideration of Value guidance.
• Engage in continuing education to stay updated on appraisal regulations.
• Maintain a Certified General Appraiser license in good standing.
• Support the bank's mission to guide clients to financial success.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of USPAP, particularly Standards 3 and 4.
• Knowledge of federal and state appraisal laws and regulations.
• 3 years of appraisal review experience within an FDIC regulated institution.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain continuity of the review process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with appraisal management technology platforms.
• Ability to work well with internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Supervisory responsibilities are not required.
