Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for managing site operations related to hydro turbine and generator disassembly, re-assembly, machining, and welding operations.

• Site leadership role responsible for hydro turbine and generator disassembly, field machining reassembly, alignment, and commissioning of the units.
• Manage assigned projects within budgeted cost and schedule requirements.
• Liaison between customers and the American Hydro Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Supervise assigned Field Service Technicians and Foreman.
• Manage major subcontractors at site.
• Maintain and submit project documentation per contract requirements.
• Coordinate Field Service shipping, activities, and schedules.
• Ensure quality, safety, and environmental requirements are met.

Requirements

• Five+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong technical skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with critical thinking abilities.
• Hands-on position when needed.
