Overview

Energage is seeking a Senior AI Data Scientist to join our AI and Product Innovation team. This role is designed for an AI-native, product-minded data scientist — someone who works fluently in Python, thinks in terms of models, agents, and reasoning systems, and enjoys turning ambiguity into intelligent product capabilities.

• Design and deliver AI-powered advisors, assistants, and analytic agents that reason over organizational data.
• Build and maintain high-quality, production-ready Python services that power AI applications.
• Apply and fine-tune foundation models like OpenAI and Gemini.
• Architect agentic AI systems that coordinate reasoning and planning.
• Design RAG pipelines and knowledge-based approaches.
• Develop and test prompting strategies and agent behaviors.
• Enable conversational analytics for data exploration.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to move AI capabilities to production.
• Stay current with trends in Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Communicate AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in applied AI, data science, or machine learning.
• Strong Python expertise with experience in production environments.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs.
• Deep skill in prompt engineering for complex tasks.
• Solid understanding of agentic AI concepts.
• Experience with RAG architectures and knowledge-grounded reasoning.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks.
• Track record of delivering production-quality AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfort in ambiguous problem spaces.
