Field Applications Scientist - Remote

Overview

Element Biosciences is seeking an experienced Field Applications Scientist to support our growing customer base in the Ohio Valley region. This role focuses on customer success and requires a solid background in NGS workflows and cell biology.

In Short

• Remote role with a preference for candidates based in the Ohio Valley.
• Frequent travel to customer sites is required.
• Troubleshooting technical issues related to biochemistry and assay design.
• Support commercial teams and provide product training to customers.
• Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams.
• Work independently on significant issues with collaboration across the organization.
• Deliver customer training and workshops, both in-person and remote.
• Utilize CRM software to document customer opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues.
• Generate high-quality wet-lab data from established protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, Master's with 2+ years, or PhD with relevant experience.
• Experience in NGS sequencing and library prep workflows.
• Knowledge in cell biology and microscopy preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled in nucleic acids and protein analytical methods.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
• Demonstrated account management skills.

Benefits

• Base salary of $90,000 - $110,000.
