Senior Safety Engineer - Air Traffic Management - Remote

Overview

The Senior Safety Engineer will contribute to safety studies in the field of air traffic management (ATM) within the Aviation entity of Egis, working in France or Europe.

• Support the definition of safety study methodologies for ATM system evolutions.
• Lead and contribute to safety studies for ATM system implementations.
• Assist in the skill development of junior safety team members.
• Contribute to proposals for the development of safety activities in the Aviation entity.
• Support ANSPs in implementing their safety management systems (SMS).
• Monitor compliance with software assurance standards (ED-109/ED-153).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with EU regulations (2017/373 and DPO regulations).
• Work collaboratively with air traffic controllers, pilots, and engineering teams.
• Engage in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Master's degree (BAC+5) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation safety studies.
• Strong knowledge of safety study methods and tools, ideally in aviation.
• Operational and technical knowledge related to air traffic management.
• Familiarity with European regulations in ATM/ANS.
• Knowledge of software assurance standards applicable in ATM/ANS.
• Strong writing skills in both French and English.
• Analytical and synthesis skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Curiosity and willingness to share knowledge.
• Good interpersonal skills.
