Head of Finance and Accounting - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Head of Accounting to lead our accounting team in Germany and actively shape our financial processes. In this role, you will manage financial statements, consolidation, and process optimization within an international environment.

In Short

• Responsibility for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB (in-house) and IFRS (outsourced).
• Leadership and development of the accounting team.
• Management of the audit process and close collaboration with auditors and tax advisors to comply with local and international tax regulations.
• Implementation and integration of LucaNet.
• Cross-functional collaboration with teams in Australia, the UK, Manila, and Germany.
• Ensuring correct financial consolidation across all international units.

Requirements

• Proven experience in group accounting, including consolidation and financial reporting.
• Extensive experience with monthly financial statements.
• Practical experience in preparing audits and annual financial statements (HGB; IFRS is a plus).
• Very good knowledge of SAP FI, SD, and MM.
• Experience in process improvement and further automation.
• Tax knowledge and experience in working with tax advisors.
• Familiarity with LUCANET and its implementation.
• Willingness to travel to Hamburg (at least once a month).
• Fluent in English and German.
