Head of Accounting - Remote

Overview

As Head of Accounting, you will combine your experience in accounting with your leadership skills to develop the existing team and elevate accounting processes to the next level.

In Short

• Lead and develop a dynamic accounting and financial reporting team.
• Ensure, monitor, and continuously improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Create, analyze, and support ongoing reporting and ad-hoc evaluations for management.
• Responsible for monthly closings and ensuring timely submissions.
• Participate in annual financial statement preparation in accordance with UGB.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments.
• Actively contribute to finance projects to enhance financial processes and systems.
• Direct reporting to the CFO.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training (HAK, degree, etc.).
• More than 4 years of experience in (balance) accounting.
• First leadership experience.
• IT affinity and experience with Excel and Office programs.
• Experience with accounting software (ideally DATEV).
• Fluent in German and good English skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in the tourism industry.
