Director of Major Gifts - Remote

Overview

The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for managing philanthropic partnerships with DREAM’s individual and corporate donors, cultivating relationships, and working towards a collective fundraising goal.

In Short

• Manage a portfolio of major donors and corporate partners.
• Design and execute revenue strategies for major gifts program.
• Conduct donor meetings to deepen relationships.
• Collaborate with the fundraising team on special events.
• Maintain accurate donor records using Salesforce.
• Identify and cultivate new donors through research.
• Plan cultivation events for corporate prospects.
• Support internship and career opportunities for students.
• Engage corporate and individual prospects through volunteer opportunities.
• Work closely with the Advancement Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of fundraising experience.
• Experience with major gifts portfolio management.
• Strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of NYC philanthropic community.
• Experience with Salesforce for donor activity management.
