Overview

Cox Communications is searching for a Cybersecurity Analyst I to join the Security Operations Center (SOC). The primary function of this role is responding to cyber threats facing Cox networks, systems, and information assets.

In Short

  • Perform incident response and triage across Cox networks and systems.
  • Utilize security tools to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents.
  • Document and escalate cyber incidents according to policy.
  • Update analyst procedures and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Remain current in the latest trends in threat intelligence and security monitoring.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Experience in cybersecurity or technical roles.
  • Exposure to cyber-attack frameworks.
  • Pursuing or holding an entry-level certification such as Security+.
  • Flexible work option with hybrid remote capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience using search and analysis tools such as Elastic or Qradar.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of network traffic analysis methods.
  • Experience preparing reports and technical documentation.
  • Preferred experience with collegiate cyber clubs or training communities.
