NOC Engineer - Remote

Overview

The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure and network operations within a Managed Services Environment.

In Short

• Identify and action all incoming major incidents from monitoring tools.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support on incidents and requests.
• Rapidly respond to alerts generated from monitoring tools.
• Manage major/critical incidents and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Perform event management and initial triage on networking outages.
• Assist in managing day-to-day monitoring of client backups.
• Perform upgrades and patching outside standard hours as required.
• Ensure client infrastructure management meets customer satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication.
• Support best practices in managed infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• 4-5 years’ experience in Infrastructure or Operations support.
• Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management Tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Tertiary qualifications and/or IT Industry Certifications.
• Desirable: Formal training in industry technology (e.g. CCNA).
• Previous experience in a NOC/Datacentre/Network technician role.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and networking.
• Experience with firewalls and backup technologies.
