Overview

The Marketing Segment Lead, Government, Funder & Non-profit (GFN) Segment Marketing is the marketing leader and industry expert responsible for the overall delivery of the segment marketing strategy, and is accountable for achieving targets and priorities that support revenue goals for that segment.

In Short

  • Develop and drive Account-Based Marketing initiatives targeting strategic customers.
  • Set goals for customer meetings and brand visibility at trade conferences.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing teams for tailored GTM plans.
  • Produce segment-specific content for marketing campaigns.
  • Manage a comprehensive marketing program for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor performance metrics to drive strategy improvements.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for segment sales team needs.
  • Develop messaging and branding in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Determine key industry events for sponsorship and attendance.
  • Enhance operational consistency across marketing strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing to the US Federal Government and EU.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of research funding and government use of scientific content.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools like Salesforce and Pardot.
  • Experience in a matrix organization with strong collaborative skills.
  • A self-starter with problem-solving and project management skills.
