The Second Cook contributes to the overall success of the Culinary team, preparing the dinner menu and ensuring quality standards.

In Short

• Prepare dinner menu items, focusing on starch and vegetable items.
• Work in a remote camp setting with provided meals and accommodations.
• Engage in a rotational work schedule of 3 weeks on/3 weeks off.
• Meet daily with the First Cook for menu preparation discussions.
• Assist with kitchen cleanliness and maintenance.
• Follow food handling guidelines and storage procedures.
• Handle physical demands including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

• Experience in large-scale cooking in camp settings, banquet halls, or hotels.
• Current Food Safe certification is required.
• Ability to commit to a 3-week on/3-week off rotation.
• Must be a team player focused on client satisfaction.
• Valid government-issued photo ID for travel to site.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
