3rd Cook - Remote Camp

Overview

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 3rd Cook to join our Camp Services team in Northern British Columbia. This position involves supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning, while ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

In Short

• Provide support to kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Operate various types of kitchen equipment safely.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure all meal prep is organized and completed as required.
• Maintain established food rotations to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food.
• Ensure prepared products are recorded on kitchen logs.
• Act in a courteous and friendly manner in all interactions.
• Clean kitchen and equipment regularly.
• Work under pressure and multitask effectively.

Requirements

• Completion of a college or post-secondary program in cooking.
• Valid food safety certificate required.
• 2-3 years’ experience as a 3rd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Professional communication skills, oral and written.
• Work well under pressure.
