Backend Shopify Developer - Remote

Overview

As a Backend Shopify Developer, you will lead commerce projects and work on the development and maintenance of a number of our Shopify and Shopify Plus e-commerce websites, most of which are based on a headless approach.

In Short

• Build e-commerce solutions in Shopify and Shopify Plus.
• Own the backend development side of projects.
• Contribute to the development of solutions using Next.JS / Node.JS.
• Implement data integrations into Shopify.
• Guide other developers and perform code reviews.
• Consult clients on technical questions and solutions.
• Monitor and manage website uptime and performance.
• Support new business sales and pitches.
• Knowledgeable in security and data protection principles.
• Develop testing plans and troubleshoot eCommerce issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.JS / Next.
• 3+ years experience in Shopify Development.
• Experience leading projects through the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to guide other developers on technical challenges.
• Experience building and maintaining Shopify stores.
• Strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and Storefront API.
• Experience with debugging 3rd party Shopify apps.
• Thorough testing and debugging skills.
• Experience developing for responsive layouts.
• Professional working proficiency in German and English.
