Senior Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

Deep Blue is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing international SaaS company with headquarters in Berlin. Their mission is to use technology to create impact at scale, and they’re now looking for a pragmatic, forward-thinking (Senior) Legal Counsel to help them navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with growth.

You’ll join a collaborative and ambitious environment where legal is seen as a strategic partner to the business. This is an ideal role for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being close to decision-making.

In Short

• Serve as the go-to legal advisor for teams across the business, including Marketing, Sales, Product, HR, and Finance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts.
• Advise on legal matters across key areas such as commercial, corporate, employment, data protection, and IP/IT law.
• Lead internal legal training initiatives and create resources to strengthen legal understanding.
• Design and implement scalable legal processes and tools.
• Manage relationships with external counsel on specialist matters.

Requirements

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with 2+ years of experience.
• Broad understanding of core legal areas relevant to a digital business.
• Comfortable working in both German and English.
• Business-oriented mindset, proactive, and solutions-focused.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently.
