Overview

The Team Lead, Payroll Compliance will ensure payroll and tax compliance across EMEA, aligning processes with legal requirements. You will lead a team of experts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide compliance insights to support payroll system development. Staying informed on relevant legislative changes, you will ensure systems are updated and proactively address compliance risks.

  • Oversee payroll and tax compliance with region regulations.
  • Build a small team of experts for coverage across critical jurisdictions.
  • Support Product Management with compliance insights during payroll development.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes in payroll and tax laws.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, product, design, and compliance teams.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and suggest improvements.
  • Review and approve payroll system process architectures.
  • Communicate with stakeholders for compliance information.
  • Educate teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain records of compliance checks and decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in payroll compliance or tax.
  • 2+ years of team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing compliance risks and improving systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive process improvements.
  • Familiarity with payroll software systems.
  • Certifications in payroll compliance or tax are a plus.
