Overview

dbt Labs is looking for its first marketing manager in Japan to lead the performance of the marketing funnel across the entire Japanese market. This position plays a crucial role in the Go-to-Market strategy in Japan, working closely with the APJ team to accelerate the growth of implementations in this rapidly expanding market.

In Short

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans and budgets for the Japanese market.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns tailored for the Japanese market.
  • Identify and implement localization of global marketing initiatives for Japan.
  • Strategize on regional events and content marketing specific to Japan.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to achieve awareness and lead generation goals.
  • Analyze and manage performance metrics of the marketing funnel in Japan.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of B2B marketing experience in Japan, preferably in software or SaaS/subscription models.
  • Experience in managing integrated marketing programs and adapting global initiatives to local markets.
  • Proven track record in pipeline or revenue goal management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to program launch and improvement.
  • Ability to operate dashboard tools like Tableau and Salesforce.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in enterprise and commercial markets is a plus.
  • English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are preferred.
