Overview

As a MySQL Database Administrator at Daxko, you will be responsible for the performance, availability, security, and scalability of our MySQL environments, ensuring they meet business needs.

In Short

• Own and optimize MySQL environments for key product lines.
• Design robust schemas and data models.
• Manage backups, recovery processes, and user permissions.
• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Support data migrations and exports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Technical Services teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation for high-availability systems.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the DBA team.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of MySQL database administration experience.
• Strong understanding of MySQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with cloud-based database hosting, especially AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with clustering and high-availability configurations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.
