Overview

The Manufacturing Process Engineer at BD is responsible for optimizing line performance, including output, scrap, and downtime reduction while ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations.

In Short

  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment and mentor production associates.
  • Support capacity planning and define budgeted rates.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and safety regulations.
  • Analyze equipment losses and develop plans to eliminate them.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Conduct line gap analysis and review line trends.
  • Responsible for manufacturing unit change control and validation activities.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BA/BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Work in a collaborative environment focused on health advancement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; BA/BS preferred.
  • 5 years of technical or manufacturing experience required if no degree.
  • Must be willing to undergo BD PE training within 6 months.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and think critically.
  • Experience in machine design and project management.
  • Team building and training abilities are essential.
  • Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
