Overview

The Dosimetry Technician is responsible for preparing and reading dosimetry, ensuring patient safety during treatment, and assisting the Radiation Therapist in delivering care.

• Prepare and read dosimetry reports for sterilization processes.
• Calibrate and qualify dosimeters before use.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks on spectrophotometers.
• Ensure patient safety during radiation treatment.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning for treatment.
• Document patient treatment records accurately.
• Interact professionally with healthcare personnel.
• Adhere to established hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate records and follow work instructions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Previous experience preferred but not required.
