Senior Liability Adjuster - Medical Professional - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Liability Adjuster at Davies North America, you will handle a diverse range of nursing home E&O, medical malpractice, and other professional liability claims while working remotely.

In Short

• Negotiate and settle nursing home, medical malpractice, and other professional liability claims.
• Prepare written status and reports for clients.
• Interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize responsibilities under critical deadlines.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.
• Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims.
• Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel.
• Knowledge of current case law and DOI regulations.
• Determine, evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims.
• Demonstrate sound analytical skills.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience handling various (E&O) and medical malpractice claims.
• Adjuster’s License Required.
• NY License (preferred) or willingness to obtain additional license.
• Juris Doctor or Bar membership a plus.
• Coverage analysis, risk transfer assessment, litigation, and vendor management.
• Proactive, independent, and dependable with consistent follow-through.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail with decision-making abilities.
• Capable of working collaboratively and independently.
