Manager, Grants and Financial Planning - Remote

Overview

DataKind is looking for a Manager, Grants and Financial Planning! This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health and compliance for DataKind by overseeing grants management with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

In Short

• Oversee the financial aspects of major grants.
• Maintain tracking systems for grant expenditures.
• Prepare accurate financial reports for funders.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit finance.
• Advanced Excel modeling and budgeting skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with financial reporting and grant compliance.
• Understanding of nonprofit accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to enforce spending controls across departments.
• Alignment with DataKind’s mission and values.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• FPAC certification is a plus.
