Board Certified Physician Reviewer (MD/DO) - Medical Oncology - Remote

Overview

This telework opportunity allows you to customize your schedule and caseload within the week while maintaining client-mandated turnaround times. Our reviewers are compensated on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor.

In Short

• Utilizes clinical expertise to review insurance appeals and claims.
• Must hold an active D.C., Virginia, or Maryland medical license.
• Reviews all medical records and addresses client questions.
• Ensures clear and concise rationale for determinations.
• Identifies and utilizes current criteria and resources for decision-making.
• Returns cases on or before the due date and time.
• Makes mandated telephone calls as required.
• Maintains proper credentialing and state licenses.
• Attends required orientation and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including quality assurance issues.

Requirements

• Active medical license in D.C., Virginia, or Maryland.
• Experience in medical review and insurance appeals.
• Strong clinical expertise in Medical Oncology.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with evidence-based guidelines and standards of care.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseload effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and orientation.
